Sacchi: Mourinho Better Than Mancini
Legendary tactician Arrigo Sacchi has reiterated his support for Internazionale coach Jose Mourinho, claiming his style of management is superior to that of his predecessor...
Sacchi has made no secret of his belief that Mourinho, who was appointed as Roberto Mancini's replacement during the summer, will have a positive impact on Serie A.
The Italian press have not taken so readily to the former Chelsea manager, however, labelling him arrogant and disrespectful of his peers.
But the Special One's media meddling and word warring mean little to Sacchi, who led Italy to the 1994 World Cup final and is widely regarded as one of Europe's greatest-ever coaches.
The ex-AC Milan boss is a huge fan of Mourinho's oft-maligned management style, insisting the Champions League winner has an uncanny knack of creating team unity - a talent Mancini lacked, apparently.
"Compared with Roberto Mancini, who obtained results based on individuality, the Portuguese bases all his work on the collective, it is more European," said Sacchi.
"Mourinho always tries to improve the quality of his team to find their game and win convincingly. That is why the Portuguese coach has my full support."
