Therefore, Inter chairman Massimo Moratti is waiting for Jose Mourinho to agree over Cassano. The player could be signed for 18 million euros in June, but Inter could try to get a discount by offering 18 year old striker Mario Balotelli to Sampdoria. If the deal would be reached, it would be a sensational coup, considering that rivals Juventus are also interested in signing Cassano (but in 2010).

Juventus are also chasing Cassano, but Marotta revealed: "We talked a little about the market, if only about these continuing reports concerning him. In fact there is one truth: there are no negotiations with Inter.
