Former Inter Coach Roberto Mancini believes Jose Mourinho will lead the Nerazzurri to the Scudetto and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will win the Ballon d'Or.
Mancini was fired by Inter in the summer despite helping the Nerazzurri win 'three' consecutive titles between 2004 and 2008.
Speaking ahead of the Derby della Madonnina this weekend, Mancini was uncompromising in his belief that Inter will best Milan.
“The derby is always a spectacular game,” Mancini explained. “But a gap of eight points is a lot to make up.
“I believe Inter will not have any difficulty in winning yet another championship. Milan are just too far behind.”
Mancini didn't credit Mourinho with Inter's position, though. He instead put it down to the form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“It's the merit of Ibrahimovic,” Mancini said. “If the derby comes down to goals, in fact, if the challenge with Cristiano Ronaldo on February 24 does, too, it will be fascinating.
“Ronaldo deserved the Ballon d'Or, but I believe Ibra has all the qualities to win it. His goals this year are dragging Inter to the title.”
Returning to the Derby della Madonnina, Mancini passed comment on Kaka who will be unavailable for Milan after he suffered an injury on Saturday night.
“Kaka is a player that makes the difference,” Mancini insisted. “And it's an important loss for Milan, but these games are strange and at times such heavy absences count less than usual”
Mancini is still out of work, yet continues to be linked with some of the most lucrative jobs in football, the most recent being the Chelsea bench.
“I still don't want to speak about my future,” Mancini concluded. “Because, at the moment, there is nothing to say.”
