Official: Nedved retires	Wednesday 26 August, 2009

Pavel Nedved has ended speculation of a future at Notts County, the MLS or the Middle East by officially announcing his retirement. The veteran ended his time at Juventus when the club did not renew his contract this summer and hinted he was not finished with football quite yet. He received offers from the likes of Lazio, Inter, Sven Goran Eriksson’s Notts County, LA Galaxy and Al-Ahly. “I have decided not to accept any of the offers that have reached me in the last few weeks and to put an end to my career,” read a statement on Nedved’s official website. “I just want to dedicate all my time to my family, my wife and my children.” The Czech won the 2003 Ballon d’Or trophy and in his career has had three Scudetti, two Coppa Italia trophies, four Italian Super Cups, the Cup Winners’ Cup and European Super Cup. He also ended his international career with 91 caps.

内德维德拒绝了西亚和美国大联盟等多家球会的邀请，宣布正式挂靴退役。

导致他退役的直接原因是尤文图斯拒绝为捷克巨星提供一份续约合同。

内德维德夏天也曾接到国际米兰、拉齐奥等多只球会加盟的邀请。

“过去的几周我深思熟虑后，拒绝了多家球会的邀请，我决定结束漫长的职业生涯。”内德维德在其官方网站上宣布。

“我将把更多的时间用来照顾我的家人，妻子和孩子。”

内德维德曾在2003年达到巅峰，获得了欧洲足球先生荣誉。职业生涯共获得3次意甲联赛冠军、2次意大利杯冠军、4次意大利超级杯冠军、1次欧洲优胜者杯冠军和1次欧洲超级杯冠军。

捷克巨星内德维德总计代表国家队出场91次。
