Flamengo director Marcos Braz has explained how former Inter striker Adriano trains whenever he wants.
The Brazil international's actions have apparently split the Flamengo dressing room, as some members of the team think he gets privileges.
“Adriano has the right to be treated in a different way, and if he decides not to train then he doesn't train. That's it,” Braz explained.
“Adriano is worth a sea of money and what he guarantees the club in terms of image and, above all, finances gives him the right to be treated in a different way with respect to all the other players.
“Go and ask all the components of the team if they agree or have problems with Adriano. They are all enthusiastic towards him. After all he is one of the players who worked the most in pre-season,” Braz concluded.
Adriano helped Flamengo win Brazil's Serie A last season and won the Player of the Year award along with the prize for the League's top scorer.
