Dirk Kuyt has pledged his future to Liverpool, ending speculation over his future.
Inter Milan had targeted the Dutchman, looking to use the money from the expected sale of Maicon and Mario Balotelli to snap up the Liverpool midfielder.
But Kuyt, who scored 11 goals for Liverpool last season, committed his future to the Anfield outfit after a meeting with new Reds boss Roy Hodgson.
His current contract with Liverpool is up at the end of the 2011/2012 season, but he is now expected to sign an extension.

Reports yesterday had suggested that Kuyt had met with new Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson and as a result was set to sign a contract extension, with his current Anfield deal running out at the end of the 2011/12 season.
However, according to Dutch publication Elf Voetbal, Kuyt's agent Rob Jansen has very clearly denied that any negotiations have taken place with the Merseysiders.
Jansen said, "There is absolutely no truth that Dirk is negotiating with Liverpool."
Jansen's comment will likely raise the possibility once more that former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez will make a move to bring Kuyt to Inter Milan , particularly if he has money to spend through the sale of either Mario Balotelli or Maicon in the coming weeks.
