Javier Zanetti given a week's rest

APPIANO GENTILE - Javier Zanetti has been prescribed a week's rest after undergoing further medical tests at the training ground this morning. The Inter medical team have diagnosed post-traumatic pneumothrorax (of a mild nature) and the captain is therefore unavailable for Wednesday evening's Serie A Week 4 match against Bari at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Rafael Benitez's players finished off their preparations for the midweek clash with a classic pre-match session. Amantino Mancini, Thiago Motta, Obiora Nwankwo and Nelson Rivas (double training for all four today) did not work with their team-mates.
The twenty-one players called up for tomorrow's game will report back to the training ground this evening.
Goalkeepers: 1 Julio Cesar, 12 Luca Castellazzi, 21 Paolo Orlandoni.
Defenders: 2 Ivan Cordoba, 6 Lucio, 13 Maicon, 23 Marco Materazzi, 25 Walter Samuel, 26 Cristian Chivu, 39 Davide Santon.
