Sinisa Mihajlovic was an assistant coach at Inter Milan for two seasons, prior to his dismissal, along with head coach Roberto Mancini, prior to the commencement of the season.

However, following Bologna’s 5-1 defeat at the hands of Cagliari last weekend, Mihajlovic was given the opportunity to resurrect his coaching career at the helm of Bologna – his first as a head coach.

Three days after his appointment, Mihajlovic and his new team took part in their first training session together, and amongst the many keen onlookers present, there was one distinguished guest by the name Roberto Mancini.

The two men are extremely close friends and have been through it all together, so it’s understandable in regards to why Mancini was present at Mihajlovic’s first session in charge of the club.

“If I need advice the first person I call is Roberto”, declared Mihajlovic.
“For me he is like a brother, who has done everything with me over the years”, added the new Bologna boss.

Mancini was applauded by the 200 Bologna supporters who were on hand to watch the training session, as the former Inter boss made 30 appearances for the club back in his playing days.
