Inter chief Massimo Moratti regrets that the time may have finally arrived for Alvaro Recoba to leave the club.

Recoba is currently out of contract at the San Siro and talks regarding a new deal have encountered problems.

Although the Uruguayan is a favourite of the owner, Moratti has conceded that it may be best for all concerned if they go their separate ways.

Moratti was clearly making a reference to boss Roberto Mancini who has found little space in the past for El Chino.

Although Recoba has been given the odd opportunity to feature, Mancio doesn’t seem convinced by his lack of consistency.
