"Mourinho is a prestigious coach who has become known also for his arrogant attitude," he said. "Personally I like two coaches in particular: Arsene Wenger of Arsenal and Rafa Benitez of Liverpool.

"I think Benitez was and still is the right man for Inter: he speaks Italian, he's a man of culture. Mourinho is a good coach but with his temperament he might get opposed by the players and the club managers."

On Mancini's dismissal, he said: "Perhaps at another club he would have gotten sacked right after his declarations following the defeat to Liverpool. You can't say you're leaving without warning the president or anyone else first. It was the right thing to let him go."

西蒙尼的话一般上来说可信性极高，老爷子目前在国际米兰球迷中的影响力依旧很大，尤其在意大利。

一般国际米兰出点什么爆炸性的新闻，总会有媒体找老爷子发表看法的。

不过老爷子的立场一向坚定，就是什么时候什么场合的发言都是维护国际米兰的整体利益。
