Mancini met with Notts
Roberto Mancini did meet Notts County Chief Executive Chairman Peter Trembling to discuss the possibility of becoming the club’s Coach. The former Inter boss was the most high profile name linked with Meadow Lane after Ian McParland was sacked over a fortnight ago. However, former Lazio Coach and County’s director of football Sven-Goran Eriksson employed his fellow countryman Hans Backe instead. “Roberto Mancini was up there in our thinking, Sven and I met with him and he is a fantastic man," said Trembling.

Quaresma set for Everton?
Inter are reportedly keen in offloading Portuguese flop Ricardo Quaresma with Everton supposedly highly interested. The winger is out of favour with Nerazzurri Coach Jose Mourinho, who signed him from Porto. Italian reports suggest that Everton are just one of several interested Premiership clubs in the international midfielder. Quaresma has already had a spell in England when on loan at Chelsea earlier this year.
