<P>Last night around 50 Ultras "met" the players on their arrival at Milan Malpensa airport when the players went to collect their cars - they were heavily insulted and several flares and smokebombs were set off in the airport. Inter Fans Attack Team At Airport A group of around 50 Inter fans launched a verbal and physical attack on the Nerazzurri squad upon its arrival back from Ascoli, last night.  <P>The unexpected action took place in the Terminal 2 of Milan’s Malpensa international airport  around 2 o’clock in the morning.  </P><P>First the group of Inter fans began making fun of the team, saying that the Ascoli win registered earlier in the day meant nothing as the game to win was the one at Villareal, where Inter played their worst game of the season and got knocked out of the Champions League. </P><P>Things appeared to calm down shortly after, but instead they got much worse when the Inter players went to the parking lot to pick up their cars.   </P><P>There a group of fans that hid their identity with hats and bandanas over the mouth attacked several Inter players including Martins and C. Zanetti. </P><P>The latter suffered minor head injuries as a result of the infamous gesture.  </P><P> “Violence is unacceptable for whoever considers oneself an Inter fan,” Inter chairman Giacinto Facchetti told reporters in the wake of last night’s incidents. </P><P>As a sign of solidarity towards their city rivals, AC Milan kicked-off today’s afternoon match against Chievo ten minutes late. </P>
