<P>关于配置的说明</P><P>To avoid confusion I'm going to maintain this thread of what the current Mac system requirements are. In some cases Apple has fixed a bug and we haven't much choice to require the latest version of something (i.e. QuickTime).

In other cases the game has grown to include new functionality required of OpenGL or other subsystems, that necessitate a change in the minimum supported OS version. The next beta revision has new usage of OpenGL in particular, that figures into this.

So here is where things will stand for the next beta release.

-&gt; OS X 10.3.4 minimum, the downloader and the game will both require it, and the installer will check for it. OS X 10.3.4 is a free update to OS X 10.3. I wish it was a free update from 10.2.x, since I know we have beta players on 10.2.8 that won't be able to play the next revision without upgrading to the current OS, but this is where we are at with it today.

-&gt; QuickTime 6.5.1 - free update to QuickTime. This is needed for critical bug fixes that were done in the area of sound support.

The hardware requirements are not as strongly enforced, it is possible to run the game with less than these minimums though some machines will do better than others. The feedback we get from users with sub-minimum machines is likely to affect the final published min specs.

-&gt; 64MB-VRAM GPU or better
-&gt; 1GHz G4 or G5 processor or better

魔兽世界安装目录下的Config.wtf是一个包含了许多设置信息的重要文件,暴雪技术人员KennyZ在技术支持论坛发布了一个简述Config.wtf文件中参数设定的帖子</P><P>Here the the values that are worth mentioning. Feel free to change their values to find the best combination for your system. If you experience any problems, just delete the file and all the settings will restore to default. </P><P>SET lod "0" </P><P>Toggles terrain LOD on and off ... looks much nicer with it off, but draws about 2-3 times as many polys. If you have a 2ghz+ processor and a GF4 or better, you can usually turn this off. </P><P>SET fullAlpha "0" </P><P>Leave this to "0" ... almost no objects use full alpha, and this setting does not affect spells or particles. Turning it on will slay your framerate if you do get close to an object with full alpha. </P><P>SET doodadAnim "1" </P><P>Setting this to "1" will enable environment anims, such as windmills, birds, etc. All animation is very CPU intensive. I wouldnt suggest enabling this with less than a 1.5ghz machine. </P><P>SET mapShadows "1" </P><P>Turns display of terrain shadows on / off. </P><P>SET lodDist "100" </P><P>Generally leave this at 50-100. Sets the distance at which the terrain LOD change occurs. Only meaningful when LOD is "1". </P><P>SET DistCull "550.000000" </P><P>The absolute max distance an object (not terrain, but objects on it) will be drawn. Much like SmallCull, this value heavily affects framerate on lower end machines. On a high end machine you can set it to the same as your farClip setting. It should be a good bit less than farclip on a slower machine. </P><P>SET shadowLevel "0" </P><P>Sets the resolution of the shadow maps on the terrain. 0 is high, 1 is low. </P><P>SET trilinear "1" </P><P>Any good video card (GF3 or better) set this to "1". </P><P>SET frillDensity "24" </P><P>Sets the density of the foreground grass, rocks, etc details. "8" for a lower end machine, "16" for a mid range machine, "24" or greater for a fast machine. Goes up to 256 max i think. 256 is not for the feint of heart and might crash you. </P><P>SET farclip "477.000000" </P><P>Matches the farclip slider. Range is 177 to 777. Dont ask why the weird numbers =P Farclip is the single biggest setting that will affect your framerate. Experiment! </P><P>SET specular "0" </P><P>Specular cannot be used without pixelShaders. Enables specular highlighting on certain terrain textures. Looks nice and shiny! </P><P>SET pixelShaders "0" </P><P>Enabling pixel shaders allows the world to be rendered in less passes, potentially increasing performance on cards that support them. If you are experiencing poor frame rates, but you notice that the problem is primarily occuring when you enter large city areas, try changing rendering modes between ?span class=highlight&gt;OpenGL?and ?span class=highlight&gt;Direct 3D?modes. All graphical rendering modes are currently being optimized, causing some systems to work better under certain conditions.</P><P>Open the World of Warcraft folder on your hard drive.
Open the WTF folder.
Open the Config.wtf file using a text editor, like Notepad.
Choose either SET gxApi "opengl?/span&gt; or SET gxApi "direct3d"
Save the file and start World of Warcraft again.
Remember, you can restore your game settings to default at any time by deleting the Config.wtf file located in your World of Warcraft directory inside the WTF folder. A new Config.wtf file will be created the next time the game is run. </P><P>

暴雪为新的Push开始已经暂停了客户端的下载。同时,根据官方论坛版主Katricia透露,此次更新将主要集中在圣骑士、萨满巫医和牧师的调整,对术士的调整较少:地狱犬[Felhunter]仍然没有开放;放逐[Banish]的间隔时间减少到20分钟;虚空行者[Voidwalker]的近战伤害提高。
