Jose Mourinho has been introduced to the Press as Inter’s new Coach and is relishing the chance to work in Italy.
The former Chelsea man has been brought in to replace Roberto Mancini and has the daunting task of improving on last term’s successful season.
The self-titled ‘Special One’, who is set to earn nearly £7m per season, was clearly excited as he gave his first Press conference at Appiano Gentile this morning in almost flawless Italian.
“I have arrived at a special club,” he grinned. “I think I am a great Coach but I don’t want to be special.
“I am always myself and I don’t change. I am the same person as I ever was and I have that same mission and passion for my work.
“I have always thought that I would like to work in Italy and for a big club and I want to thank Massimo Moratti and Marco Branca for giving me this opportunity.
“This is a very important challenge for me, but I think that it will also be very enjoyable for you.”
Now Inter fans can wait with eager anticipation to see whether Mourinho swoops for one of Frank Lampard, Deco or Michael Essien, as has been widely suggested in recent weeks. |
