Jose Mourinho's first big test as coach of Internazionale will come against Bayern Munich on August 5 after the Italians accepted an invite to compete for the Franz Beckenbauer Cup.  
The game, in its second year, will be Bayern's curtain-raiser to the Bundesliga season, which starts on August 15.  
The Serie A season is due to commence two weeks later on August 31, meaning this game will be a serious test of how the two potential Champions League rivals match up.  
It will also provide the first opportunity for new Bayern coach Jurgen Klinsmann to lead his side out at the Allianz Arena.  
'We are delighted to have successfully invited Internazionale, one of the most attractive and strongest teams in Europe,' said Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.  
'This game, one and a half weeks before the start of the Bundesliga season, will be full of top international stars and a meeting between two big coaching personalities.  
'Jurgen Klinsmann, who will be in the Allianz Arena for the first time, and the new Inter coach Jose Mourinho.'  
Last year, Barcelona clinched the inaugural Franz Beckenbauer Cup with a 1-0 win in front of a sell-out crowd of 69,000.  
Bayern will take part in the first round of the DFB-Pokal three days after the game.
