Despite playing the whole season without the injured Giuseppe Meazza, Inter seal their fifth Scudetto with a 1-0 win against Bologna on the last day of the season. The Nerazzurri notch a record 20 victories in the 16-team championship. 02-06-1999 Italo Allodi, general manager of the Great Inter side, dies at the age of 71. 02-06-1935 Inter lose 4-2 at Lazio and are overtaken at the top of the table by Juventus (who beat Fiorentina to win the Scudetto), but with just three defeats the Nerazzurri set a positive record which is equalled in 1970/71 and 1979/80. 02-06-2008 Inter announce the arrival of José Mourinho. The Portuguese coach signs a three-year contract. Inter's youth academy director Giuseppe Baresi is appointed as Mourinho's vice coach.
