　　Puff Daddy身兼歌手和制作人多职，对美国以至全球流行音乐有着举足轻重，无可比拟的影响，与Michael Jordan、Spike ee并列为90年代最有影响力的黑人代表。

　　 Puff Daddy在1997年七月推出他个人的首张专辑《No Way Out》，专辑中根据Police经典名曲《Every Breath You Take》所改编而成的这只《I'll Be Missing You》是向Puff Daddy的好友Notorious B.I.G.致敬的作品，这首单曲于1998年推出后，几乎在全球同时拿下冠军座座；专辑中的另一首单曲《Been Around The World》也在稍后攻下美国榜冠军席次。但不可否认的，这的确是1997年最风光的一张专辑，也让全球乐迷见到Puff Daddy在制作之外其演唱方面的才华。

歌曲背景
<P>Puff Daddy（Puffy）自小生活在哈林区，与姐姐Keisha一起由母亲Janice抚养。他的父亲是个黑帮中人，在他只有三岁的时候就被枪杀了。十三岁时在当地的一家图书馆里当学徒。高中毕业后就进了Howard University 并成为一个协会的干事。Puff Daddy在学校的足球队中身材瘦削，他便憋着气使自己胸膛鼓胀，看起来显得很健硕，于是这世界闻名的外号“ Puffy”就由此而起。不过一年半后，Puffy就退学了，跑到Uptown/MCA Records当实习生，又被无端解雇。他是个积极的人，凭借在唱片公司学到的东西，他开始筹划Bad Boy Entertainment。
　　
　　公司成立之初，名气不大，唱片销量低微，Puffy只有做混音工作，为多名R&amp;B歌手组合制作唱片，包括：Aretha Franklin, Boyz II Men , Mariah Carry, TLC, SWV, lil\'kim。。经过一段艰辛的奋斗，94年是他的转折点，他跟Notorious B.I.G.(B.I.G.)、 Faith Evans（B.I.G.妻子）以及Craig Mack等人签约，重新混音的作品"Flava in Yar Ear"(featuring LL Cool J,Busta Rhymes,Rampages and Notorious B.I.G.)打上了流行榜十大，并为Badboy Records创造第一个白金销量。95年B.I.G.的主打曲"Big Papa"进入流行榜第六位，其大碟"Ready To Die"创下双白金佳绩！并赢得相当的知名度。随后又得到 Mase, Lox , Total(与Faith Evans同是B.I.G.背景和声组合）的加盟。

<B>正当一帆风顺之际，Puffy跟B.I.G.和Death Row Records的Tupac Shakur（2 Pac)和 该公司的老板Suge Knight结怨，甚至对簿公堂。Shakur控告Puffy在94年对他枪击，并嘲笑 B.I.G.，说曾跟B.I.G.妻子Faith Evans同床，还拍了一个MTV，里面以人物P.I.G.和 Buffy对他们进行影射攻击。96年9月，Shakur被不明枪手射杀，而Suge也被判入狱。
　　
　　1997年3月，Puffy和B.I.G.在L.A出席派对出来时，B.I.G.被一准备多时的枪手伏击，当时Puffy正在他前方的车子里。惊慌失措地将B.I.G.送到医院，Puffy几乎疯掉。可惜 B.I.G.还是回天乏术……三周后，Puffy第二张专辑成功登上冠军宝座。
　　
　　失去挚友和左右手，Puffy极度沮丧，他感到自己没有了B.I.G.不能再工作下去，他决定退休。休息了大半年，Puffy终于想通，他要继承B.I.G.。于是他重新投入工作，完成了 B.I.G.只做了一半的专辑"Hell Up In Harlem"，并改名为"No Way Out"意为没有出路，以抒发他丧友之痛。该专辑继续创下辉煌战绩。随后，Puffy和其余歌手们举行了巡回演唱会悼念B.I.G.,这是场纯说唱的音乐会，也是该年度第二大演唱会。</B>
　　
　　"I\'ll Be Missing You"令他获得98’GRAMMY AWARD的Best Duo or Group大奖，此曲是Puffy为了纪念B.I.G.而作的，　还请B.I.G.遗孀Faith Evans作背景和声，甚是感伤。

<P>〈Every Breath You Take&gt;中文名字（你的每一个呼吸），70年代由Police,The 〈警察乐队〉创作。前后被全世界143位艺人翻成不同版本演唱过，刊称经典之作。华人艺术家邓丽军也曾翻唱过，后90年代1998年推出后经P.Diddy Puff Daddy〈吹牛老爹〉翻唱成HIP HOP 版本后又掀起风靡世界的风潮。
歌名为：〈I'LL BE MISSING YOU 〉中文名字〈我将要失去你〉
是向Puff Daddy的好友Notorious B.I.G.致敬的作品，
这首歌基本在全世界所有音乐排行榜，所有电台拿下单曲冠军宝座。 </P>
<P>很不错的音乐，高中的时候听HIP—HOP经常听到，酒吧里熟悉的旋律，有点想去零点了</P>
